The aim of the Denmark Over 50’s Association is to promote a Denmark community where seniors are valued and respected; to enhance the lifestyles of seniors by promoting positive ageing, and to encourage the Denmark community to plan for its ageing population.
The Association has been successful in having the Denmark shire adopt a Seniors Policy. The policy covers The Importance of Seniors, Housing and Accomodation, Health and Welfare, Recreation and Leisure, Education and Training, Safety and Security and Transport, Roads and Infrastucture.
Denmark Over 50’s Meeting Venues & Dates
The Association meets at 9.30am on the last Wednesday of each month in the Function Room, Denmark Recreation Centre. Meetings usually last for about two hours.
Visitors are welcome to attend the talks and membership application forms are available at the meetings and at Denmark Engraving and Gifts, 81 Strickland Stree, Denmark.
The meetings normally start off with a talk by a guest speaker, the talk is followed by a tea/coffee break and then the monthly meeting.
